In July 2019 Rob Keogh and Tristan Matthews, launched Performance Sport and Play in Melbourne, Australia. Rob’s and Tristan’s knowledge and experience working with industry leaders, councils and sporting bodies provides clients with the certainty that their projects are being delivered to the highest standards.

Tristan Matthews

With a successful career in civil construction and sports surfacing spanning 12+ years, Tristan has developed a great understanding of the industry especially around construction and design. His onsite experience promotes a thorough knowledge of project construction and enables him to understand the needs and wants of his clients across a range of sporting codes and general construction projects. Tristan has worked for two major players within the industry being Polytan Asia Pacific and Wm Louds.

Wm Loud was a recognised leader in the civil construction, playground surfacing and sports surfacing industry. While at Wm loud Tristan work closely with playground manufacturers to install rubber softfall and later managed some of Wm loud larger contracts in this area. He also worked within the civil and surfacing teams building many of the sports facilities across Melbourne.

During his time with Polytan Tristan was involved in the construction of many sports fields and athletics tracks across Australia. He also was part of the design and estimating team at head office giving him knowledge and experience to not only design projects but to understand the cost involved in construction.

Rob Keogh

A business professional and operational leader, Rob Keogh was the dual Director of Wm. Loud (Aust.) Pty Ltd. and Australian Plexipave Pty Ltd from 2005 until 2017. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative aspects of both companies. He also coordinated all marketing activity and management of ongoing relationships with major accounts, including Tennis Australia and Netball Victoria. Wm Loud was a recognised leader in the civil and sports construction and surfacing fields. In 2007 lead the team that successfully bid for the supply and installation of the Australian Open surface which they continued until 2019.

Over his career Rob has gained an exceptional knowledge and understanding of acrylic and polyurethane surfaces and their application. After the successful sale of his business in 2017 Rob joined the team at APT Asia Pacific. Using his extensive knowledge in the Acrylic, Polyurethane and Management fields he was able to support agents and their clients to assist in the successful installation of various surfacing options. Rob assisted many agents in growing their business through honest and sound advice.

Over his career Rob has worked with a diverse client base, which includes councils, architects and various industry representatives and professionals as well as agents and their clients. When combined with his accounting and business knowledge Rob is able to offer expert advice so that clients may achieve their unique project goals. Having previously led a company that offered total project management and delivery, from design to completion, Rob utilises the wealth of his knowledge and experience, as well as his strong professional network to resolve any issues that may confront his clients.
